🇧🇦 Our volunteers just finished a week of volunteering in Bosnia and Herzegovina!

Our 7 volunteers joined our partners at IFS-EMMAUS, supporting their ongoing work with local communities.

From harvesting potatoes and delivering meals to spending time with the elderly and taking part in creative workshops with children and young people with disabilities, our volunteers got involved in a range of activities throughout the week.

The team also visited Srebrenica, spending time with the Mothers of Srebrenica and paying their respects at the Srebrenica Memorial Centre.

A huge thank you to IFS-EMMAUS for welcoming our team and allowing us to be part of the important work they do every day. ❤️

Our Walk2Water for Schools programme takes us into schools nationwide, where we teach students about water poverty and access to clean, safe water through an interactive presentation. 💧

Highams Park School is a brilliant example of where that can lead. Inspired by the programme, students raised enough to fully fund a water well in Chad that now provides clean water to 500+ people.

A huge well done to everyone involved! 💙

🇳🇵 Nepal Floods | An update from our team

Our team has been on the ground this week, responding to immediate needs and assessing where support is needed most.

So far, we have:

• Visited two flood-affected areas to assess needs directly
• Distributed toys and snacks to children
• Delivered medical supplies and medicines to those in need
• Mobilised 35 volunteers to clean and organise a facility supporting elderly and disabled people

As needs on the ground change, our response is changing too. Our next phase will focus on supporting the approximately 1,137 people currently homeless across the two villages assigned to our team with essential shelter and household items.

🎨 Our Tote Bag Painting Workshop showed just how far a little creativity can go.

This week, over 10 volunteers joined us across two painting sessions, creating personalised bags that will soon be filled with sanitary pads and distributed to girls across Sub-Saharan Africa during our volunteer trips.

Giving back can look like many things, but sometimes it’s simply spending an afternoon creating something that will be enjoyed by someone else.
