The conversation explored the realities of short term volunteering, safeguarding risks, and the need to prioritise family based care while recognising children as active participants in their own lives.

This marks the start of developing a policy document framework to guide our work and share with the wider humanitarian sector.

In Wakiso, Uganda, our tailoring programme is supporting women as they build practical skills for income and independence.

Women are currently in training, working towards nationally recognised certificates while gaining confidence, stability, and new opportunities for themselves and their families.

After they receive their certificates, we hold a celebratory graduation to honour their commitment and everything they have worked towards. 👩🏾‍🎓

This work is about access and opportunity. It supports stronger households, helps children stay in education, and allows women to participate more actively in their communities and local economy.🤍
