Time to Help is proud to offer a Free OET Course with the generous support of the Swire Charitable Trust. This initiative is designed to empower UK refugees and asylum seekers, especially doctors and pharmacists by providing them with the language skills and professional tools needed to rebuild their careers, integrate into society, and thrive in the UK healthcare system.

  • Workshops on UK workplace culture, safeguarding, and technology

  • 1:1 Mentoring from career school graduates

  • Well-being Sessions to support mental health and confidence

Course Overview

This 10-week course is designed for doctors and pharmacists preparing for the Occupational English Test (OET). It helps familiarise students with the exam format, boost language proficiency, and provide hands-on practice in Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

Schedule & Duration

  • Start/End Dates: Ongoing

  • Total Hours: 40 hours

  • Sessions: 20 lessons (2 per week)

  • Session Time: 2 hours + 1 hour of self-study

  • Proposed Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays (Afternoon)

Course Content

Focus Areas:

  • All four OET sub-tests: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking

  • Emphasis on Speaking in on-site sessions

  • Practice tests (printed for in-person)

  • Scanned handouts
