Homelessness is a growing problem in our community. Every night, thousands of people are without a place to call home. They are forced to live on the streets, in shelters, or in cars. They are often hungry, cold, and scared.
There are many reasons why people become homeless. Some people lose their jobs and can’t afford rent. Others have mental health problems or substance abuse issues. Still, others are fleeing domestic violence or other forms of abuse.
No matter what the reason, homelessness is a devastating experience. It can negatively impact a person’s physical and mental health, relationships, and ability to find and keep a job.
