Pakistan Education Sponsorship
Our goal with the Bright Hope Student Aid Scheme is to empower students through a six-year education programme. We hope that this journey will help them become qualified professionals who are to uplift their communities and contribute to national progress across Pakistan.
Addressing Pakistan’s Education Crisis
The target locations, including rural areas of Islamabad and Punjab, face severe educational challenges. Nearly 44% of school-age young people, are currently out of school.
- Financial constraints are cited by 70% of children who drop out of school.
- The teacher-student ratio reaches 1:45.
- Students from remote regions often lack safe accommodation.
Our Solution: The 6-Year Scholarship Model
The Bright Hope Student Aid Scheme is a scholarship project executed in partnership with Time to Help (UK) and the Shibli Trust. This directly addresses educational gaps, aiming for social equity by providing a shielded and supportive environment.
This programme includes:
- Two Years of College (Grades 11 and 12).
- Four Years of University Education.
- Accommodation, food, transportation, books, stationery, and pocket money.
- Structured Programme: Students benefit from supervised study programmes (3 hours daily) and weekly skill-building exercises.
- Personalised Mentoring: Students receive academic and moral mentoring and personal counselling. This personalised guidance is ensured through a low supervisor-to-student ratio of 1:5.
- Safe Living: Students are accommodated in exclusive student hostels in locations such as Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar.

- Scholar’s Journey: Andaleeb Khalid
The scheme is designed to support 15 talented Pakistani students each year, selecting them from underprivileged communities, primarily in rural Islamabad and Punjab.
Recipients are chosen through a rigorous, multi-phase, merit-based selection process:
- Applicants must achieve over 70% marks in the SSC/Matriculation examination.
- The process includes a written test, interviews, and an orientation programme, assessing the applicant’s academic performance, motivation, character and potential.
Supporting this scholarship is an investment in the country’s future. The scheme is designed to achieve substantial long-term outcomes:
- Community Upliftment: Graduates become qualified professionals who uplift their families and communities, generating a “ripple effect of progress”.
- Nation-Building: The ultimate goal is to nurture skilled, responsible, and visionary individuals who will drive national growth and innovation, serving as catalysts for change within Pakistan.
- Project Sustainability: The sustainability of the scheme is fundamentally achieved through its graduates. Financial viability is also supported by implementing strategies like organising annual fundraising events and fostering strong community engagement.
The scheme transforms individual lives, such as that of Andaleeb Khalid, from Waran, Sheikhupura, Punjab. Coming from a family of six with a monthly income of only $100, Andaleeb completed high school through the scholarship and recently graduated with a BS in Special Education. Two weeks after graduating, she joined a leading private school in Lahore as a teacher. Her success shows how education can transform lives and inspire other rural students to dream bigger.
