Clean and safe water might be a common element of our lives, but there are still 1 billion people who donโt have access to this. Clean water is still one of the biggest crises of today! Itโs a humanโs primary need. Without it, everything becomes a risk factor: poverty, education, health and a big issue for women and children. Because of contaminated water sources, every 2 minutes, a child dies*.
It is also a huge challenge for women. The average woman in rural Africa walks 6 kilometers every day to haul 40 pounds of water, and in the end, the water isnโt even clean. The long walk for water is full of dangers; wild animals attack poor souls on the way to water, sometimes children are kidnapped and donโt have time to go to school*.
